Healthy Aging & BikingThe City of Cambridge, in collaboration with the Living Well Network, is hosting events and activities to talk to you about how to make bicycling the option for you to get around town.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Massachusetts Council on Aging via the Cambridge in Motion program, we are able to host a series of dinners and focus groups to talk to the Cambridge community with a focused on bicycling as a means of safe and healthy transportation for people ages 55+.

Please join us for one or more of the following events!

Dinner & Focus Group
Wednesday, April 29, 5:30-7:30 PM
Fresh Pond Apartments, 364 Rindge Ave.
Dinner and conversation about barriers to bicycling.

Bicycle Maintenance Basics Workshop
Monday, May 11, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
Maud Morgan Visual Arts Center, 20 Sacramento Street
Hands on workshop and lecture on the basics of maintaining your bike. Lunch will be provided.

Intro to Hubway/Urban Cycling Workshop
Thursday, May 14, 3:30-5:00 PM
City Hall Annex Building, 344 Broadway, 2nd floor
Talk bikes and learn about Hubway/urban cycling! No RSVP needed.

On-Bike Urban Cycling Refresher Course
Sunday, May 31, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
JFK Street & Memorial Drive
4-hour on-bike training for people who have ridden before, but are rusty and want a refresher on urban cycling. A physical therapist will be on-hand to teach basic strength and balance exercises.
Bikes will be available for free use during this event. RSVP by contacting Colin Barr at cbarr@agassiz.org.

All events are free and participants will receive a free bicycle helmet.
