Older Adults and Forgotten Teens

Submitted by on July 19, 2018 – 11:03 amNo Comment
Some older adults are active participants in fostering and adopting teenagers – those deemed ‘too old to adopt’. These parents fill a huge gap in the lives of older teens and can make all the difference to young people still searching for their footing in life. LGBTQ youth are particularly vulnerable and many end up homeless. Cambridge is fortunate to have Y2Y, a shelter specifically for ages 18 to 24. You can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth and young adults through fostering, adoption, volunteering, or by financially supporting organizations that do this good work.
