Thanksgiving Potluck Feast

This Year’s EventThanksgiving Potluck Spread 2006
The 2009 Thanksgiving Potluck Feast will be held on Tuesday, November 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Our biggest community event of the year, the Annual Thanksgiving Potluck Feast is where old friends and new neighbors meet and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings.   Agassiz Baldwin Community supplies the turkey (cooked by volunteers), cranberry sauce, and drinks, while our guests bring salads, sides, and desserts inspired by their own family traditions.  Hosted in the Maria L. Baldwin School cafeteria, this neighborhood tradition held on the Tuesday before the Thanksgiving holiday has continued for nearly forty years!

Volunteers Needed
Every year, we ask ten to twelve volunteers to cook turkeys purchased and delivered directly to their homes by ABC staff.  Volunteers then bring cooked turkeys to the dinner Tuesday night between 5:30-6:00 pm.  Can’t cook a whole turkey?  We love to share side dishes from each other’s family traditions.  Please bring a side dish large enough for your family plus a few more.

Activities for Kids
Activities for children are available in the Maria L. Baldwin School gym and in the afterschool community room, but parents are ultimately responsible for their children.
