Distance Learning Support Program

Licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).

NOTE: With the announcement of full-time in-person learning for school age students starting April 5th, and for middle school students starting April 28th, we are going to shift our focus to afterschool. Unless we hear of demand for virtual learning support, we are planning to end this program on April 27th.

Our Program is committed to providing a high-quality experience for youth from Cambridge and local communities. We value creativity, culture, and community, and our curriculum is designed to encourage expression and exploration.

The Distance Learning Support Program provides a socially distant and supervised environment for students to connect to their remote classrooms and safely interact with peers during breaks.

Our Staff are caring, attentive, and creative. Led by our Director of Distance Learning Support, KC Nogueira, the program staff consists of a talented group of musicians, athletes, dancers, and art educators. All staff are certified in first aid and CPR. While not trained to be classroom teachers, our staff is flexible, fast-learning and dedicated to helping our students, whether it’s troubleshooting tech issues, encouraging focus or facilitating a much-needed movement break.

In the fall, we set up of classrooms outdoors for remote learning

Our Space is adapted to meet COVID-19 safety guidelines. Between our main building and rear Maud Morgan Arts building, we have plenty of indoor classroom space for children to be socially distant. We have also installed air filters for improved ventilation.

Schedule Drop off begins at 8:30 AM and pick up is from 2:30-3 PM. Families also have the option to enroll in early drop off, starting at 7:30 AM, or full day programming, which extends the day into our afterschool program, for additional tuition fees.

Upon registration, you will be asked to share your child’s classroom schedule with our staff. We will follow the CPS school calendar for school closures.

COVID-19 Precautions To help mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19 in our programs, we require everyone on site to wear masks at all times except when eating or drinking. Only program participants and staff are allowed on the program premises; drop off and pick up are at the entrance to our backyard to avoid any unnecessary contact between families. We follow state guidelines for social distancing and help our students follow these expectations with kind, frequent reminders.
