Free Rapid At-Home COVID-19 Tests
The federal government will provide two sets of four free COVID tests to each household. You can find the ordering system via the USPS website, here.
PCR Testing
The city of Cambridge offers free PCR testing seven days a week for those who live or work in Cambridge. There is still be appointment-only testing seven (7) days a week, but walk in testing has dropped to once weekly on Wednesdays. See more information here.
Insurance Coverage for at home testing
Beginning Saturday, January 15, 2022, individuals covered by a health insurance plan who purchase an FDA-approved, over-the-counter COVID-19 diagnostic test will be able to have those tests covered by their insurance. This NPR story covers the basic information here.
At Home Rapid Tests for Older Cambridge Residents
The Cambridge Senior Center may still have free COVID-19 test kits available for older Cambridge residents. One kit per household, each kit contains two tests. Available at the 1st floor reception desk of the Cambridge Senior Center—only while supplies last.

Home Delivered PCR Tests
If you have symptoms, a known exposure, or live or work in a congregate setting, you can have a test sent by overnight delivery, which you then send to a lab to be processed. Use this link for more information here.
