Notes from the May 20th, 2009, ANC Annual Meeting
ANC Meeting Chair Stephen Diamond welcomed attendees to the 2009 Annual Meeting
and acknowledged Cambridge City Councillor Craig Kelley, who attended briefly. Following,
ABC Board Co-Chair Andrea Walsh thanked the individuals below on behalf of the Board:
• ABC Executive Director Terry DeLancey, who offers incredible, energetic, and thoughtful leadership;
• Stephen Diamond, for his leadership of the ANC meetings;
• Phoebe Sinclair, for her many invaluable contributions as Community Liaison;
• Phyllis Smith, departing Board Member and Parent Representative. Phyllis’ sense of dedication, skill in creative problem solving, and commitment to the mission of the organization will be missed;
• Our consultants from the Executive Service Corps of New England, a group who have long partnered with Agassiz Baldwin in helping us to achieve our mission and given generously of their time and wisdom;
• Pam Swainand Theresa Hamacher, for general consultation;
• For their work on developing ABC’s Living Well Network: Jack Smith, John Kogan, Bob Seilerand Julie Shaw. Also, Ann Bookman, who worked tirelessly to help articulate our vision;
• Kristina Snyder, who authored the “Living Well Guide,” an excellent compilation of resources for older Cambridge residents;
• Charles Sullivanand the Cambridge Historical Commission, who enabled us to continue to maintain and restore our historic building at 20 Sacramento St.;
• Goodwin Proctor Lawyers Adam Weisenberg, Dan Dain, and James Sweet, who provided pro bono representation over several years to help us win our case to build the Maud Morgan Visual Arts Center;us to continue to maintain and restore our historic building at 20 Sacramento St.;
