LWN “Cooking with Kids” Wants Your Favorite Recipe

Submitted by on December 8, 2009 – 5:24 pmNo Comment

The Living Well Network’s (LWN) “Cooking with Kids” program is underway  The goal of this program is to create an inter-generational cooking class with members of the elder community and students enrolled in Agassiz Baldwin Afterschool.  These kids LOVE to cook, and we’d love it if you’d share your favorite recipe with us!

To give you a sense of how adventurous our young cooks are, our first three recipes will be:

  • Falafel and vegetables in Pita
  • Sweet Potato and Zucchini/potato pancakes/latkes
  • Spinach and Poached Pear Salad with Pear dressing

If you have a favorite family recipe, please share it with us.  These recipes will then be assembled into a cookbook for everyone in the community to enjoy!  To submit a recipe or volunteer to teach a class, please send an e-mail to Nathaniel Meyer, Volunteer Coordinator, or call him at (617) 349-6287 x16.
