Meet Our Mayor’s Youth
Each year, Outback Summer Program employs teens through Cambridge’s Mayor’s Youth Summer Employment Program. Learn about this year’s talented group by reading below.
Hi, I’m Lydia. I used to be a camper at Outback and I was also a CIT once. I go to school at CRLS. I like to play soccer and do ballet. I also play guitar.
My name is Jamie, but I was born Peter James. People call me Jamie because a lot of the people in my family are named Peter, so people use a variation of my middle name. I used to play soccer and baseball, but now I just run track for my school. I’ve played piano for about a year. I enjoy pretty much any genre of music to play and listen to. And that’s my life.
My name is Conor and I am sixteen years old. Next year I will be a junior in the 11th grade at CRLS. I love music, especially jazz, and I play the saxophone. I run track all four seasons of the year and I also love playing Ultimate Frisbee. My favorite part about working at Outback is getting to do things I wouldn’t normally get to do as a sixteen-year-old . . . and going to the beach.
Hello, I’m Thomas. I love working. It’s my favorite thing to do, beside playing wallball! I also enjoy arts and crafts. I am fourteen years old. In September I am going to be a freshman at CRLS.
Hi, I’m Mae and I am one of the Mayor’s Youth at Outback this year. This is my seventh year at Outback! I am fifteen and will be a tenth grader at CRLS in the fall. Also, I play ice hockey. My favorite thing to do at Outback is play dodgeball.
