Roadway Paving on Mass. Ave. Between Forest and Garfield Sts. – September 25

The following information was shared by the City of Cambridge.

The City’s contractor, Marchese Construction, will perform roadway paving on Mass. Ave. on Friday night September 25th, 2015. Work hours will be 6 PM on Friday to 5:00 AM on Saturday.

Vehicle access in and out of properties will be limited during work hours while crews perform the roadway paving. This operation will also cause traffic disruption. Please plan vehicle trips accordingly.

Project Schedule

  • On Friday Night, September 25th, crews will pave the roadway on Mass Ave (Northbound) from Garfield Street to Forest Street.
  • Once complete with this section on Friday Night, all paving work will be Complete.!!!
  • Crews will be in the area again in a week or two to install the Line Striping for parking, bike lanes, etc. A notice will be provided once scheduled.

What to Expect

  • Work hours will be 6 PM to 5:00 AM.
  • Vehicle access in and out of properties will be limited during work hours. Please plan vehicle and parking trips accordingly.
  • “No Parking” signs will be posted 24 hours in advance of the work; please be sure to check dates/times. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO PARKING ON EITHER SIDE OF MASS AVE FROM WENDELL STREET to FOREST STREET AS NEEDED FOR MAINTAINING TRAFFIC FLOW.
  • Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
