Help Beautify Mass. Ave.

On Saturday, April 12, community members will be taking to the street in Porter Square and along Mass. Ave wielding brooms, gloves, and trash bags. This spring-cleaning effort supports residents and businesses bringing more pride to the appearance and vitality of the corridor between Harvard and Porter.

When: Saturday, April 12, 9:00 – 12:00 PM
Rain date: Sunday April 13, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

For Mass. Ave. Clean Up:

  • Meet at Simon’s Coffee, 1736 Mass. Ave.
  • Some brooms and work gloves provided, bring your own if you have them
  • Snow shovels make handy dust pans, please bring your own
  • Trash bags & trash pick-up provided
  • Celebrate with lunch at Cambridge Common,1667 Mass. Ave.

Sweeping in Porter Square

For Porter Square Clean Up:

  • Meet in park next to MBTA T Station
  • Some work gloves and brooms provided (bring yours too)
  • Trash bags & pickup supplied
  • Snow shovels make great dustpans, especially the kids’
  • Celebrate with lunch at Christopher’s, 1920 Mass Ave
