The Do It Your “Darn” Self!! National Youth Video and Film Festival was created in 1996 when four teens from Cambridge felt misrepresented in the media and decided to do something about it. DIYDS!! takes seriously the responsibility to preserve a tradition of championing the expression of contemporary youth. This festival is not just about the videos, it’s about who makes them and why.

The DIYDS Jr. event will showcase films made by or with youth aged 6-12 is a great presentation of what some of the youngest filmmakers around are creating. This screening will also feature a youth panel of 6-12 year old filmmakers speaking about their work and the filmmaking process. Cambridge program represented in the DIYDS!!
