Become The Next Agassiz Neighborhood Citizen Journalist
Learn journalism and media skills, and report on important community issues by joining Cambridge Community TV’s NeighborMedia citizen journalism team. NeighborMedia correspondents are volunteers who cover stories happening in the city of Cambridge through blogging, photos, audio and video. No prior technical experience is needed as training will be provided, but an interest in Cambridge community issues and reporting on them is a must!
CCTV Seeks Reporters to Cover these Underreported Topics:
- Education
- Seniors
- Elections
- Food
- Immigrant Issues
- Economy
- Health
- Music
- Sustainability
- Colleges/Universities
**Correspondents may choose to cover these or any local topic of interest to them**
A one-year commitment is preferred. Correspondents work with CCTV staff and a team of peers to identify story ideas, develop posts, and grow in their craft. People of all ages, backgrounds, experience levels and interests are encouraged to apply. In addition to an outlet for their work, correspondents receive a free one-year membership to CCTV and access to free classes through CCTV’s training program.
Blogs, photos, and videos are published to the NeighborMedia.org website, distributed through social networks on the web, and are shown on CCTV’s three cable channels.
