Opening Reception for the Maud Morgan Arts Faculty Show – Monday, September 13
Next Monday join us for the opening reception of the Maud Morgan Arts Faculty Show. The show, on display now in the newly renamed Fay Chandler Gallery, showcases and celebrates the impressively talented and experienced artists who will be teaching at Maud Morgan Arts for the fall semester. The show is free and everyone is invited.
Interim Director of Maud Morgan Arts Catherine Kernan has assembled a group of twenty-five artists who are well-known in their respective fields and have long records of exhibitions and awards. Many of them hold teaching positions at area institutions.
Featured will be the work of:
- Ceramicists Stephanie Young, Tiffany Playford, Kate Ledogar, and Jameson Copp and ceramic sculptors Allison Newsome, Ann Hirsch, and Bevan Weissman.
- Distinguished sculptor Ann Lilly and Gina Kamentsky, showing kinetic pieces in metal.
- Phyllis Ewen, a mixed media artist whose pieces are also dimensional, and the dimensional prints of Debra Olin.
- Painter/printmakers Heddi Siebel, Randy Garber, Jan Arabas, Wendy Prellwitz, and Boriana Kantcheva, Nancy Popper, and Laura Tangusso.
- Book artists Deborah Davidson and Barbara Fletcher.
- The very different relief prints of Annie Silverman and Adrian Rodriquez.
