Coincidence at the Chandler Gallery – October 19
Roz Sommer and Christopher Pullman had never met until Victoria Munroe chose both artists as second-place winners of the 2D Small Works Salon, the upcoming exhibit at Maud Morgan Arts’ Chandler Gallery. But they soon discovered that they had more in common than their penchant for painting fish, still lifes, and Maine landscapes: not only are Christopher and Roz’s Boston-area studios a mere six blocks apart, but the spots along the Maine coast where they paint are also startlingly close – off of the same road on Deer Isle. Upon learning that Christopher’s next-door neighbor is one of Roz’s best friends, the two artists decided, not surprisingly, to call their show Coincidence.
Coincidence is on display at the Chandler Gallery at Maud Morgan Arts from October 19 through November 30, 2012. The opening reception will be held Friday, October 19 from 6 to 8 pm.
Roz Sommer’s previous exhibitions include shows at the Cambridge Art Association, the Arsenal Center for the Arts, and the Legacy Gallery, Deer Isle, ME. Christopher Pullman has had one-person shows at the Cape Ann Museum, the Annisquam Exchange Art Gallery, and the Paul Dietrich Gallery at Cambridge Seven Associates.
