The message below is from Lesley University:

Dear Neighbors:

Lesley University is pleased to report that we plan to begin construction of our new Arts Center at 1801 Massachusetts Avenue later this spring. We know that many of you may have questions about the construction schedule and logistical issues such as traffic, dust and noise.

We invite you to a community meeting on February 26, 6:30 pm, in the University Hall Amphitheater, 2nd floor, 1815 Massachusetts Avenue.

During the meeting, we’ll review our mitigation plan, discuss the timeline for construction, traffic management, as well as provide ways to stay informed throughout the construction process. Lesley administrators, project foremen from John Moriarty and Associates, our contractor, and architects from Bruner Cott will be present to give the most up-to-date information.

Following a brief presentation, we will open the meeting to your questions. We also understand some neighbors may be new to the area or unfamiliar with the plans, so we’ll be happy to provide additional project information as well.

Some information about the project is posted at www.lesley.edu/artsconstruction. This site will be updated during construction with two-week projections of activities as the project progresses. You can also sign up to receive these updates in your inbox by emailing construction@lesley.edu.

We look forward to seeing you on February 26, and please feel free to email us at construction@lesley.edu or call Bill Doncaster at( 617) 349-8525.
