ANC Special Meeting – September 29, 2020

Join Agassiz Neighborhood Council for a special meeting on Tuesday, September 29th, 7:30-9:00 PM. We’d like to get a sense of who will be attending, so we’re asking that you please RSVP to receive the link to join. Email: psinclair@agassiz.org.
The meeting will follow a different format than usual. We’ll introduce ANC Members and participants to ZOOM video conferencing and its features. We will also invite community members to reflect together on the past six months, as much has changed locally and in our country and world.
Since the late 1960s / early 1970s, ANC has provided a forum for discussion and action. This is important work that we intend to continue, so regular monthly meetings will resume online in October. Additionally, we believe that unusual times require fresh and thoughtful approaches, so at this Special Meeting all participants will be invited to respond for three minutes to the following two questions:
- What stands out for you about living in the neighborhood at this time?
- Describe an ‘act of community’ that you witnessed or participated in.
Collective action is important, and we believe that collective listening is as well. We hope Tuesday’s meeting and others going forward will spark new ideas and inspire collaborations that strengthen the fabric of our community.
RSVP by contacting Phoebe Sinclair at psinclair@agassiz.org. We will email you instructions on how to join the meeting. Please also reach out if you need advice on how to get started with ZOOM.
